Terms & Conditions

Effective October 27, 2026

Draft. This document is a draft that has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Bracketed items are still to be filled in.

These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of the Greenroom website at thegreenroom.tech and any copy of it we host (the "Site"), operated by The Greenroom LLC ("Greenroom", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

If you create an account, our User Service Agreement also applies to your use of the practice tools, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Who can use the Site

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. You may browse the public pages of the Site at any age permitted by law.

2. Beta service

Greenroom is in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the Site may be unavailable at times. We offer the Site free of charge during the beta and may introduce paid plans later, as described on the Plans page and in the User Service Agreement.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for anything unlawful, or to harass, impersonate or harm anyone;
  • record, upload or submit anyone else's image, voice or personal information without their permission;
  • try to access accounts, data or parts of the Site you are not allowed to, including the admin and recruiter areas;
  • probe, scan, overload or disrupt the Site, or get around its security or rate limits;
  • scrape the Site or use automated means to access it, except for search engines following our robots.txt;
  • copy, resell or build a competing product from the Site, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows; or
  • use the Site to try to make the AI Assistant produce harmful or abusive content.

4. Our content

The Site, including its text, design, logo, the AI Assistant's character and voice lines, question bank and software, belongs to The Greenroom LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the Site for its intended purpose. The Greenroom name and logo are our trademarks; do not use them without our written permission.

5. Your content and feedback

What you record and type while practicing is yours. The User Service Agreement explains how it is handled. If you send us suggestions, ratings or comments about Greenroom, you allow us to use them to improve Greenroom without owing you anything.

6. Third-party links and services

The Site links to and relies on services run by others, such as Stripe for payments and your browser's speech recognition. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms apply.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Greenroom is a practice tool. Its feedback is automated and may be wrong, and it does not predict or guarantee the outcome of any interview, presentation or job application.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Greenroom LLC and its members, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

9. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify The Greenroom LLC against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

10. Ending access

We may suspend or end your access to the Site at any time if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms, or to protect Greenroom, its users or others.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in the City and County of Denver, Colorado, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users in the app or by email. If you keep using the Site after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

13. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms, the User Service Agreement and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
