User Service Agreement

This User Service Agreement (the "Agreement") is between you and The Greenroom LLC ("Greenroom", "we", "us") and covers your Greenroom account and the practice service: interview practice with the AI Assistant, presentation practice, feedback and summaries, credits and payments, and any optional AI features (together, the "Service"). By creating an account you accept this Agreement, our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
1. Your account
You sign up with your email address and a password. Give us an email address you control, keep your password secret, and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it. Sign-in lasts 24 hours on each browser.
2. What the Service does
The Service lets you rehearse job interviews and presentations out loud on camera. It uses your camera and microphone, speech recognition in your browser, and on-device analysis to give feedback on habits such as pace, filler words, pauses, eye contact, expressiveness and posture, and it produces a transcript, a recording and suggested action items.
The feedback is automated and approximate. It is not professional career, legal, medical or psychological advice. It does not read emotions, judge your suitability for a job, or predict whether you will be hired.
3. Where your practice sessions are stored
Your recordings, transcripts, session results, profile and preferences are stored in your own browser on your device, not on our servers. That means:
- you can download or delete them at any time from Profile and Settings;
- clearing your browser data, using a private window or switching devices or browsers will remove them or leave them behind, and we cannot recover them for you; and
- you are responsible for keeping a copy of anything you want to keep.
4. Your content
You keep all rights in the recordings, answers, job descriptions and other material you create or enter in the Service ("Your Content"). Where Your Content passes through our servers, for example text sent to the optional AI features, you give us a limited licence to process it only to provide the Service to you. Only enter job descriptions and other material you have the right to use, and do not include other people's personal information or confidential information belonging to an employer.
5. Optional AI features
Some features may use a third-party AI model (currently Anthropic's Claude) to write questions or ask follow-ups. These features are off unless you turn them on. When they are on, Greenroom sends text only, such as your target role, the job description, the questions and the text of your answers, to the AI provider; it never sends your video or audio. AI output can be inaccurate or unsuitable, so use your own judgement. The AI provider handles the text under its own terms.
6. Plans, credits and payments
During the beta, the Service is free. When paid plans are switched on:
- you buy credits in packs at the prices shown on the Plans page and at checkout, and each interview or presentation session uses the number of credits shown there (currently 2);
- payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to your payment;
- you can save a card for later purchases and remove it at any time from Profile and Settings;
- prices include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout;
- credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and do not expire while your account is open, unless we tell you otherwise before you buy;
- all sales are final, unless a technology failure on our side keeps you from using what you paid for, or the law requires a refund. If a purchase is refunded, the matching share of its credits is removed from your balance; and
- we will tell you before any price change applies to your purchases. Changes never affect credits you already hold.
7. Beta and availability
The Service is in beta. We may add, change or remove features, limit usage, or pause the Service for maintenance, and we do not promise any particular uptime. Some features, such as the recruiter area, are previews and may not be available to you.
8. Your responsibilities
Follow the acceptable use rules in our Terms & Conditions. Only record yourself, or people who have agreed to be recorded. You are responsible for your device, browser, internet connection and any data charges.
9. Ending this Agreement
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected] from your account's email address. We may suspend or close your account if you break this Agreement or the Terms & Conditions, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service. If we close the Service for reasons other than your breach, we will refund any unused paid credits. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as payment obligations, disclaimers and limits of liability, survive termination.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and general terms in our Terms & Conditions apply to the Service and are part of this Agreement. Disputes about this Agreement are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and heard in the courts located in the City and County of Denver, Colorado.
11. Changes
We may update this Agreement. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Agreement.
